Elephants at Galana River

We saw dozens of elephants in a drive through Tsavo East NP a couple of weeks ago, many of them very skinny. 11 elephants have recently been found dead in the park of starvation. These are hard times in Kenya, with drought and food shortages, and the wildlife is feeling the pain too. (Tsavo was given the unlovely nickname of "Starvo" some years back when a terrible drought led to hundreds of elephant deaths).
