Compulsion IIIPosted by Pied Crow (Nairobi, Kenya) on 12 August 2008 in Landscape & Rural. Last one! This is a scan of an image I made in an alternative photographic processing workshop, using a very old method called Van Dyke Brown. I used photoshop to make a b&w negative of the image, and printed it 8X10 on transparency film, then did a contact print on paper I had sensitized with the VDB chemicals. I was trying to explore the oil-painting quality this image has for me. Not sure if it comes across on the scan, but it sure was fun.
