Amazing image - you are very lucky to be there to record it! Were they silently traversing the river or is it accompanied by much noise?

@Scotfot: Very noisy! The wildebeests all gather on the bank and as more come up behind, the crowd gets denser and denser, and they make this anxious "huuhh-huhhh" sort of noise until the pressure builds up and one or two jump in. Meanwhile there are usually some zebras mixed in and they bark, just like dogs.
