I believe this is a woodland kingfisher. Birders, correct me if needed. At least I DO know it is a kingfisher. Spotted on a dead tree in the Mara River in the morning.

Wow, look at the colors on this little fellow! Man, this is a great shot! I wonder how long you had to wait for that, or was it just the right time, the right place? :) Gorgeous colors! I also like how his size compares to the branch! He is so tiny!

@Lia: Thanks, Lia. This one was really a lucky shot, this little guy had been flitting around, landing here and there but always darting off before I could get him framed and in focus, but then he chose this perch, and just sat still as a statue, I think he knows how handsome he is.
