I thought this colobus looked so calm with her head raised and her eyes closed. She is from one of four families that live on the shores of Crater Lake near Lake Naivasha, each has a distinct territory.

An amazing shot, is it safe to get close to them? I know you have a long lens but just wondering.

@Observing: It is safe, but unusual. Of the three monkeys we see a lot of in Kenya -- Sykes, vervet, and colobus -- colobus are the most elusive and shy. I shot this with a 300 lens, and cropped it a bit, but this is still the closest I've ever been. These colobus have a territory near a small lake with a hiking trail around it, so while not at all tame, they are used to people walking by. There is a restaurant where colobus have become quite a problem, stealing food, but usually the pest monkeys here are vervet or Sykes.
What a great shot.

You really do pick your moments don't you? First the zebra-horse hybrid and now you've found a Marlon Brando monkey! Great photo here. Talk about a noble primate! Stick him on the USA election ballot and he's got my vote. At least when he throws shit it is for real and honest! GREAT PHOTO!

@Henry: Not only that, he's a she! (Though you can't tell from this photo.) She had a young one nearby. Absolutely a missed opportunity as a candidate.
